About the role

Seer Interactive is looking for a seasoned digital-marketing practitioner—SEO, paid media, or both—who is ready to transition expertise into a full-cycle business-development role. You’ll own a $2.5 M revenue target from inbound leads, develop your own pipeline through strategic outbound efforts, and close $110 K+ annual engagements with mid-market and enterprise clients. The team is small, high-performing, and remote-first (with an optional Philadelphia HQ office).

Responsibilities

  • Qualify inbound leads, conduct needs and strategy consultations, and shepherd deals from first touch to client kick-off while vetting that each partner aligns with Seer’s values.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and close growth opportunities within the current client base.
  • Develop and execute outbound campaigns—identifying targets, leveraging data, and crafting tailored outreach—to build a robust pipeline.
  • Perform preliminary competitive SEO, PPC, and Analytics analyses for inbound leads, then partner with divisional teams to surface actionable opportunities and threats.
  • Create and present comprehensive SEO, PPC, and Analytics strategies to C-level executives, demonstrating how digital efforts ladder up to long-term business goals.
  • Travel to prospect sites (20–25 % travel) to deepen relationships and advance deals.
  • Prepare site-specific proposals, negotiate contracts with legal support, and ensure seamless handoff to account teams.
  • Act as a thought leader: contribute to the Seer blog, speak at conferences, and attend networking events to showcase Seer’s work and generate new business.
  • Apply MEDDIC or similar sales methodologies to qualify leads, map decision-makers, uncover pain points, and drive deals to closure.

Requirements

  • Years of hands-on experience in SEO, paid media, or both; you understand what a technical audit entails, can diagnose organic-traffic anomalies, and ask incisive questions to uncover the real problem.
  • Proven ability to get shit done: you spot issues quickly, think several steps ahead, and don’t need a playbook handed to you.
  • Strong pattern-recognition: you read between the lines on strategy calls and can distinguish what a client asks for from what they actually need.
  • Cross-functional fluency: you know how to bring the right people into the room at the right time and make practitioners, directors, and decision-makers all feel heard.
  • Comfort presenting to C-level stakeholders, defending recommendations, and handling pushback under pressure.
  • Familiarity with SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, Ahrefs, and similar tools; you can pull a quick audit, spot gaps, and explain findings clearly.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication: you deliver hard truths diplomatically and leave prospects grateful for the honesty.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and its evolving role in digital marketing; you’re already experimenting with AI to enhance client value.
  • Strong expectation-setting: you document conversations, communicate proactively, and keep multiple deals moving without dropping details.
  • Hunger to build business-development skills; you may not have carried a quota for years, but you’ve won pitches, grown client relationships, or brought in work in other ways.

Nice-to-haves (not required)

  • Prior experience in a quota-carrying sales or business-development role.
  • Existing thought-leadership footprint (blog posts, conference talks, etc.).

Red flags

  • Difficulty managing time, context-switching, or juggling multiple projects.
  • Resistance to continuous learning and innovation.
  • Struggle adapting to new tools and processes.
  • Lack of interest in integrating AI and automation into daily workflows.

Pay

Total compensation range: $93,000 – $125,000 per year, based on skills and experience. High-performance bonus available. Compensation evaluated at least annually.

Benefits

Seer is a remote-first, B-Corp Certified agency offering:

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Unlimited PTO and company-wide wellness days.
  • Professional development stipend and ongoing AI training.
  • Flexible work environment with optional Philadelphia HQ office.
