Senior Business Analyst – KOALA

Senior Business Analyst Atlanta, GA Location: Atlanta, GA Work Model: Hybrid Contract: Long-Term We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a mission-critical enterprise application within a public-sector environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, application development teams, legal/operations teams, and third-party vendors to define requirements, support enhancements, testing, and application operations. Key Responsibilities Serve as a Business Analyst and application SME, understanding business processes and translating stakeholder needs into clear requirements.Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.Develop requirements specifications, process documentation, user guides, and training materials.Partner with business and technical teams throughout the SDLC.Support application maintenance, enhancements, production activities, and releases.Develop test plans, test cases, and UAT scenarios.Coordinate test data preparation, defect tracking, and resolution.Support users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).Create screenshots, process guides, and other user training materials.Analyze data and fulfill business data requests using SQL.Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.Participate in requirements workshops, project meetings, reviews, and Agile ceremonies. Required Qualifications Strong experience as an IT Business Analyst.Experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.Strong understanding of SDLC and software application development.Hands-on experience with UAT, test planning, and defect management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.Experience with:SQL / SQL ScriptingAzure DevOpsMicrosoft OfficeBalsamiq or similar wireframing tools Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.10+ years of relevant Business Analyst experience.Experience supporting government, healthcare, education, or other regulated environments.Experience with enterprise applications and sensitive data.Experience with application modernization and enhancement projects.
