Your role in our mission
- Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients' objectives in important areas
- Help coordinate a business analyst team's duties and activities on IT projects and nurture newer team members by providing guidance and support
- Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers and technical staff to define, document and share business requirements and expected impact
- Work with clients to develop business specifications at the start of technical projects
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and how business requirements align across the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through implementation and support
- Analyze, plan, design, document, and recommend improvements to business processes that support clients' technology goals
- Partner with technical teams and stakeholders to support healthcare and Medicaid claims processing initiatives and related system enhancements
- Help verify that all requirements have been met by approving and validating test results
- Exercise your ability to use analytical and relational database software such as Excel or SQL to quantify the anticipated impact of work
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, including 3+ years supporting Medicaid, Medicare, and/or Medicaid Claims programs preferred
- Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills
- Proven ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements and communicate effectively with clients, business leaders, and technical teams
- Experience leading requirements gathering sessions, documenting business processes, and validating solutions through testing and stakeholder review
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor team members and influence project outcomes
Technical & Systems Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and how business requirements align across the full project lifecycle from planning through implementation and production support
- Knowledge of software development concepts including configuration, development, integrations, and batch processing
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL, and requirements management tools such as ALM
- Experience working within enterprise applications and workflow platforms; ServiceNow experience preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams to support system enhancements, implementations, and healthcare claims processing solutions

Pay
The pay range for this position is $69,400.00 - $99,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
