Senior Business Analyst - Guidewire
About the role
Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in insurance systems, particularly Workers Compensation insurance, and hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed business analysis to understand and document business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate business needs.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for business processes, systems, and workflows.
- Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights through the design and development of dashboards and reports using Cognos and Tableau.
Requirements
- Generally 5 or more years of related experience.
- General insurance industry knowledge is required, preferably Workers' Compensation insurance.
- Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with Cognos, Tableau, and Snowflake is preferred, but not required.
- Experience using AI platforms and tools (CoPilot preferred).
