About the role
The Business Analyst role will have a direct influence on designing business processes and solutions to support business groups for platforms used by thousands of sales associates across the United States, which will ultimately help ensure millions of patients will have access to our life-saving products.
Responsibilities
- Drive an assessment of business need and areas for improvement, proposing potential solutions through research.
- Characterize a solution or initiative’s complexity, risks, known assumptions, constraints, and dependencies, and recommend appropriate approaches.
- Identify customers and maintain relationships according to individual customer needs and levels of influence, compiling communication and transition plans for projects and team members.
- Coordinate/develop requirement plans including user story sessions, approvals, RAID and scope impacts, and collaborate with business colleagues to identify functional and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with the architecture team to ensure the technical solution will deliver the agreed business benefits.
- Coordinate/support case definition and capture investment business justification including value and benefits realization plans.
- Audit and evaluate solution proposals, articulating supporting arguments for a recommended solution, and work multi-functionally with other IT roles to develop/maintain business relationships, support business process change, and act as point of contact for application development.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing and support process owners to identify and devise solutions that optimize business process performance, capability, and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with IT architecture, delivery, and support/operations to ensure clear understanding of all requirements and effective testing, ensuring solutions delivered to the business are efficient and effective, meeting the customer experience expectations.
- Work closely with Project Managers/Scrum Leads to set the right expectations on timeline for business solution delivery, ensuring risks are tracked and communicated effectively with the correct customer group.
- Define the testing approach and the components of testing to ensure traceability of requirements and effectiveness of overall solution.
- Ensure Organizational Change and Communications plans according to Customer Analysis.
- Work closely and support Business Partners/BRMs to evaluate, design, and communicate business process changes, business solution options and considerations to customer groups.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience, including demonstrated work as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience of using current business analysis tools and techniques to design and deliver business change.
- Strong engagement, communication, and facilitation skills including storyboarding, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Experience of working in a regulated environment.
- Experience of working with third party suppliers/vendors.
- Experience and knowledge of Master Data Management products and processes.
- Discernment, challenge, negotiation, and influence.
