Business Enterprise Solutions (BES) team is a part of the Corporate Technology & Innovation department focusing on key enterprise business solutions to support our company business objectives. We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst specializing in Workday Reporting. This role leads the design, administration, governance, and continuous improvement of the organization's Workday reporting environment, serving as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, HRIS, Payroll, Finance, and IT to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable reporting across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technology owner of Workday reporting functionality.
  • Support and maintain the organization's portfolio of Workday reports, dashboards, scorecards, calculated fields, and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure existing reports execute accurately, consistently, and within established service level expectations.
  • Monitor report performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Manage report lifecycle activities including report creation, modification, testing, promotion, retirement, and documentation.
  • Support executive, operational, payroll, workforce, talent, compliance, and ad hoc reporting requirements.
  • Partner with HRIS and business leaders to establish reporting standards, governance processes, and report development best practices.
  • Support report security configuration and ensure proper access controls are maintained in accordance with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, and business leaders to identify, analyze, and document reporting requirements.
  • Analyze business operations and processes to identify opportunities for improved reporting, analytics, and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop business requirements documents, functional specifications, report inventories, process maps, and reporting documentation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders by helping translate business questions into meaningful reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions and facilitate discussions regarding reporting needs, data definitions, and business metrics.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and technical teams to establish and maintain Workday reporting architecture standards.
  • Ensure consistency of data definitions, reporting structures, calculated fields, and organizational reporting practices.
  • Support enterprise reporting governance, report catalog management, and report standardization initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and reporting frameworks.
  • Ensure reporting solutions align with organizational data governance, security, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Assist with data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance efforts.
  • Lead testing and validation efforts for new reports, report modifications, Workday releases, and system changes.
  • Develop test plans, validation scripts, and reconciliation procedures.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and report validation activities with business stakeholders.
  • Ensure all report changes are thoroughly tested and validated prior to deployment.
  • Investigate reporting discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to identify corrective actions.
  • Participate in Workday implementation, enhancement, and optimization initiatives.
  • Create process maps, value stream maps, and GAP analyses to support reporting improvements and business process optimization.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance reporting efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years of progressive responsibility in a Business Analyst, HRIS Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related role.
  • Experience administering and supporting Workday reporting capabilities in a production environment.
  • Experience developing Workday Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, Composite Reports, Dashboards, and Calculated Fields.
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting governance, reporting architecture, and data quality initiatives.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data governance and reporting standards.
  • Workday Reporting certification or equivalent Workday reporting experience.
  • Strong technical verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills focused on business processes and technology solutions.
  • Ability to connect business challenges with reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of business process mapping and process optimization methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of organizational readiness and change management principles.
  • Strong experience developing and supporting Workday reports, dashboards, scorecards, and calculated fields.
  • Strong understanding of Workday business objects, report writer, report security, and reporting best practices.
  • Experience supporting HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Compensation, Time Tracking, and organizational reporting.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions.
  • Experience supporting reporting architecture and enterprise reporting governance.
  • Working knowledge of data query, data manipulation, and reporting concepts.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting analysis capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of data integrity, reconciliation, and audit controls.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate findings effectively.

Pay

Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For (Colorado/New York City/California/Washington/Maryland/Virginia/DC) this ranges from $83,000.00 - $142,000.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
