Senior Business Analyst
About the role
Genesis Capital is a leading business purpose lender focusing on commercial real estate financing for developers. As a subsidiary of Rithm Capital, a publicly traded mortgage REIT, we seek a Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in financial services, loan origination, and system implementations.
Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
Lead discovery sessions and translate customer requirements into functional requirements using flow charts, work items, and other documentation tools.
Conduct gap analyses and recommend scalable solutions aligned with business goals.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and defect triage.
Lead business analysis for loan origination platforms and related integrations.
Collaborate with business and technology teams during system implementation phases, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
Document and validate end-to-end processes for CRM and loan origination systems.
Monitor platform performance and identify opportunities for optimization with a customer-centric focus.
Define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics to measure project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Coordinate with stakeholders such as Engineers, QA, Trainers to ensure flawless execution, rollout, and adoption.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in lending workflows and system design.
Work with project managers and QA teams to create test plans and test scripts.
Contribute to the product roadmap and execute backlog of projects/enhancements.
Deliver engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations.
Provide mentorship to other Business Analysts by reviewing deliverables, sharing best practices, and fostering professional development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, preferably mortgage or lending, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role
Previous experience managing and/or leading others
Prior experience writing clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
Strong understanding of MS Dynamics and/or Salesforce CRM Systems
Experience with loan origination systems (LOS) such as nCino, Moody’s, Encompass, or similar platforms
Proven track record in system implementation projects, including requirements gathering, testing, and post-implementation support
Pro-active, self-starter with high level of organizational ability and attention to detail
Able to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
