Senior Business Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with 8+ years of hands-on business analysis experience for a hybrid position in Austin, Texas. The primary work will be in Austin, with the option to work 80%-100% remotely. The ideal candidate will have strong experience eliciting and translating business needs into clear, well-structured system requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows, wireframes, and mockups, along with a proven ability to analyze and improve business processes and facilitate discussions with diverse stakeholders. They should be highly organized and articulate, comfortable managing requirements and changing control in Jira and Modern Requirements, and capable of mentoring other BAs on best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience eliciting requirements from interviews with customers and creating well-written system requirements
• 8+ years of experience with software development life cycles (SDLCs)
• 8+ years of business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement experience
• 8+ years of experience developing user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices
• 8+ years of experience designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
• Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
• Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
• 4+ years of documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
• 2+ years of documented work experience with the requirements management software "Modern Requirements"

Preferred

• 4+ years of documented experience working for or closely with TEA OR a federal/state/local education agency OR ed vendor
• 2+ years of experience supporting complaint and case management workflows, including intake, investigation, and resolution
