Senior Business Analyst

About the role

The Senior Business Analyst will support the analysis, enhancement, maintenance, and modernization of enterprise application systems for the M&O Services for DSS Application Systems project. This position is responsible for analyzing business and data requirements, documenting functional and technical requirements, supporting solution design, and facilitating communication between business stakeholders and technical teams. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with project managers, developers, solution architects, quality assurance teams, database professionals, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable requirements and support the successful delivery of application and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive business, functional, technical, and data analysis to support application development and maintenance initiatives.
• Gather, analyze, document, validate, and manage business and system requirements.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and technical discussions.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and system specifications.
• Analyze current-state business processes and systems and assist with defining future-state processes and solutions.
• Develop business process flows, system diagrams, data models, mockups, and other requirements documentation.
• Analyze business data to identify trends, requirements, dependencies, gaps, and potential system impacts.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and application development, architecture, database, infrastructure, and quality assurance teams.
• Work with technical teams to evaluate proposed application designs and confirm alignment with documented business requirements.
• Support application development, enhancement, integration, maintenance, and modernization activities.
