Senior Building Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Landers Company seeks a Senior Building Maintenance Technician to oversee facility and property needs for multiple vehicle dealerships and a collision center.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and troubleshoot daily maintenance and repair issues, executing repairs or arranging for specialists as necessary.
• Conduct facility rounds to check for items needing attention, including mechanical rooms, roofs, service shops, locker rooms, car wash equipment, and more.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, change filters, and coordinate with outside contractors for specialized work.
• Ensure regulatory and safety compliance, including testing and maintaining fire suppression systems and emergency lighting.
• Manage and oversee building maintenance personnel.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise and advanced knowledge of major building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire suppression.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand and electrical tools, and test equipment.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance measures and basic life safety systems.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, understand system schematics, and troubleshoot effectively.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED, with technical/vocational training or certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing preferred.
• Physical capability to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, work in various weather conditions, and operate ladders and lifts.
• A positive attitude to serve the needs of stores, working well with supervisors, guests, peers, corporate partners, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of commercial/industrial building repair and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local building codes and regulations.
• Ability to manage and oversee building maintenance personnel.
