Job Description
Senior Building Automation Controls Engineer
Boston Metro Area
$45.00 – $65.00+ per hour (based on experience)
Reports to
BAS Project Manager
What You’ll Do
- Develop and program DDC systems (Schneider EcoStruxure preferred; BACnet, Niagara/Tridium experience welcome)
- Review and implement Sequences of Operation (SOO)
- Troubleshoot BAS/BMS networks and HVAC control systems
- Lead system start-up, testing, commissioning, and customer training
- Oversee subcontractor installations and ensure specification compliance
- Serve as technical lead and mentor junior engineers/technicians
- Support project meetings, documentation, and close-out activities
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of commercial Building Automation / HVAC Controls experience
- Strong programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting skills
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems, electronics, and networked controls
- Knowledge of construction practices and industry standards
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
