Senior Bridge Inspector - CEI

About the role

RK&K is hiring a CEI Senior Bridge Inspector to join our Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) team in Orlando, Florida. This position is in our Construction Management group which oversees the contractor’s operations on roadway and bridge construction projects.

Responsibilities

• On-site inspection of roadway and bridge construction
• Maintenance of detailed records of daily operations
• Supervise day-to-day activities of inspection staff
• Review reports from inspection staff and write summary reports of all construction activities
• Affirmation of inspections, observations, and run materials tests and check construction work

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Four (4) years of experience in construction inspection, two (2) years of which shall have been in bridge/roadway construction inspection
• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I, CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II, CTQP Pile Driving Inspection, CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection, DOTS Intermediate MOT

Preferred Skills and Experience

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• CTQP Post-Tensioning Technician Level I, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II, CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I, CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II, CTQP Grout Technician Level I

Physical Demands

• The ability to perform field inspections on active construction sites
• The ability to stand and walk for extended periods, navigate uneven terrain, and climb ladders or stairs
• The ability to lift and carry inspection equipment and materials weighing up to 20-30 pounds on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and may include exposure to construction-related hazards
