Senior Bridge Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Duluth, GA team. Delivers structural engineering plans, complex designs, and systematic testing methodologies to facilitate the planning, construction, and maintenance services associated with bridges, foundations, and other ancillary structures.

Responsibilities

• Reviews client business requirements and project specifications to ensure construction projects are developed accordingly.
• Leads the delivery of projects following contract guidelines, meeting project schedules, managing assets within project budgets, and producing quality products.
• Coaches and leads lower-level professionals.
• Delivers quality projects following demonstrated QC/QA protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• 10–15 years of progressive professional experience designing bridges.
• Demonstrated experience leading and delivering complex projects.
• Diverse body of work in the bridge design industry.
• GDOT experience preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Memberships in professional organizations.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia or comparable license within the United States.
• Licensed Structural Engineer with successful completion of 16-hour exam preferred.
• Master of Civil Engineering preferred.
• Substantial experience with AASHTO LRFD.
• Experience with Bluebeam, ProjectWise, Bentley Engineering software, and GDOT in-house design software preferred.
