Senior Brand Designer
About the role
The Senior Brand Designer at YourStudio translates insight into powerful storytelling, leading projects with fresh thinking, strong craft, and creative confidence. This role shapes the quality and culture of design across the studio, unlocking greater creative ambition, deeper trust with clients, and a richer pipeline of work that reflects the studio's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and oversee high-quality brand design across multiple concurrent projects, from brief distillation through to final delivery, including supplier and partner management.
- Translate insights into impactful, multi-sensory visual solutions that push creative boundaries while remaining purposeful, strategic, and on-brand.
- Maintain a consistently high standard of craft and presentation across all outputs.
- Act as a confident creative voice in client-facing presentations, workshops, and pitches, engaging and inspiring with clarity and conviction.
- Build trusted client relationships grounded in a deep understanding of their audience, sector, and competitive landscape, identifying opportunities for creative growth.
- Contribute to project scoping, resourcing, and timelines, proactively spotting issues to keep work on track and on budget.
- Collaborate with junior, mid-weight, and freelance talent, contributing to a culture of shared ownership, creative rigour, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to new business opportunities through standout work and strong client relationships.
- Support and guide junior and mid-weight designers by providing clear, constructive feedback that sharpens both ideas and craft.
- Lead with confidence and calm, creating space for others to contribute and grow.
- Collaborate closely with Design Directors, Project Managers, and Client Services teams to ensure smooth delivery and creative coherence across projects.
Requirements
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; FIGMA; After Effects a plus).
Proven track record delivering high-quality design across branding, graphics, digital, and experiential projects.
Strong conceptual and storytelling ability, with a confident grasp of visual communication, typography, and design systems.
Able to articulate design rationale clearly and persuasively to both teams and clients.
Awareness of emerging technologies and evolving design trends across brand and experience.
Qualifications
Culturally curious and forward-thinking, with an appetite for innovation and relevance.
Interest in sustainability within design practice is a strong advantage.
Skills
Confident communicator with experience directing and mentoring other designers.
Pragmatic problem-solver who balances creative ambition with project realities.
Empathetic collaborator who builds trust across disciplines and with clients.
Benefits

Pay
$120,000 – $140,000 per annum, depending on experience
Schedule
We operate a hybrid model, with 3 days a week working time to be studio based.
