Role Summary The Senior Bookkeeper (Accounting Operations) will play a critical role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial recordkeeping, reporting, and accounting processes across multiple entities and business initiatives. This position will support leadership by ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive accounting professional with strong bookkeeping expertise, experience in multi-entity environments, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain complete and accurate accounting records across multiple entities and business activitiesManage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliationsPerform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activitiesPrepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedulesReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and balance sheet accountsMaintain intercompany transactions and due-to/due-from schedulesSupport accounting system administration, optimization, reporting, and data integrity initiativesTrack project costs, budgets, reimbursements, and financial activityMaintain accounting records for investor-related entities, funds, and capital activityCoordinate with external CPAs, auditors, banks, attorneys, and service providersSupport audit, tax, lender, and compliance reporting requirementsDevelop and improve accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controlsKey Requirements5+ years of progressive bookkeeping, accounting, or financial operations experienceDemonstrated experience managing full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting processesStrong experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP/accounting platformsExperience supporting multiple entities, business units, projects, or reporting structuresExperience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and financial reportingAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills including reconciliations, reporting schedules, formulas, and variance analysisStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practicesAbility to manage large volumes of financial information with accuracy and attention to detailExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial informationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferredPreferred SkillsMulti-entity accounting experienceProject accounting experienceFund accounting or partnership accounting experienceNetSuite implementation, administration, or optimization experienceExperience within professional services, financial services, consulting, real estate, investment management, banking, or similar environmentsInvestor reporting and capital activity tracking experienceExperience coordinating with auditors, tax professionals, lenders, attorneys, and external stakeholdersStrong process improvement and internal controls experienceCall to Action If you are a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys owning accounting operations, improving processes, and delivering accurate financial reporting, we encourage you to apply today through The Intersect Group.
