Senior BIM Specialist

About the role

This position can be based out of our Dallas TX or St. Louis MO office.

Responsibilities

• Executes and tracks daily work plans.
• Provides recommendations for changes to improve standards and procedures, as necessary.
• Provides technical support to project managers, field personnel, estimators, and customers.
• Responds to questions and addresses problems with appropriate resolutions and plan revisions as needed.
• Works closely with design teams while applying detailed attention to modeling, clashing, and annotating sheets.
• Gathers and requests specific information from other design disciplines necessary to move forward and complete electrical designs on schedule.
• Makes plan changes according to feedback received.
• Escalates cost and scheduling issues to manager.
• Develops a high level of understanding in the installation of electrical systems, the National Electrical Code, and other building codes.
• Stays informed of new electrical and safety codes, materials, technologies, techniques, and practices.
• Participates in electrical construction-related training to maintain a high level of proficiency and updated technical skills.

Requirements

• A minimum of an associate degree or equivalent work experience in building information modeling (BIM), engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-4 years of BIM modeling experience.
• Proficiency in using Autodesk, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office software.
• Experience using Evolve software is a plus.
• Skills to read, interpret, and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, and specifications, and basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code preferred.
• Basic project management experience and skills.
• An understanding of the project life cycle.
