Responsibilities
- Partner with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders to prepare, review, edit, and finalize a high volume of monthly prebills and invoices in accordance with Firm and client-specific billing requirements.
- Oversee the prebill process from issuance through completion, proactively tracking outstanding prebills and following up with attorneys and other stakeholders to support timely invoice submission.
- Leverage your organizational skills to manage multiple billing addresses, split bills, multi-payer matters, consolidated and multi-matter billing, and other specialized client requirements.
- Utilize your e-billing experience to manage e-billing setup and maintenance, submit and track rates, monitor the approval process, and ensure compliance with client billing guidelines.
- Investigate, resolve, and appeal e-billing rejections while partnering with attorneys, clients, and third-party vendors to address billing issues.
- Apply your attention to detail to maintain accurate client and matter billing information, including billing addresses, rate structures, special billing requirements, and client guidelines within the Firm's billing system.
- Support the Billing Manager with day-to-day departmental operations, special projects, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate excellent client service by assisting with incoming client and attorney emails and work collaboratively with the Billing Department to provide timely, responsive service.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience in a law firm environment.
- Experience with Aderant, Elite, or another comparable legal billing system preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Schedule
5 days onsite for the first 30 days, then 4 days per week onsite and 1 day remote thereafter.
Pay
$95k - $105k base salary.
