A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Billing Manager to lead and enhance billing operations in their New York office. This role combines strategic oversight and hands-on management to ensure accurate invoicing, efficient collections, and continuous process improvements across the practice.
What You'll Do
- Oversee end-to-end billing processes for one or more practice offices, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections
- Serve as a subject matter resource to attorneys, office leadership, and finance committees on billing practices, procedures, and system use
- Collaborate with global finance and billing teams to implement best practices, process improvements, and software or system upgrades
- Advise attorneys, paralegals, and staff on revenue management procedures and provide guidance on complex billing scenarios
- Facilitate finance committee coordination, including call preparation, follow-ups, and actionable next steps
- Continuously review revenue-related processes, identify areas for increased efficiency, and recommend improvements to support financial goals
- Maintain and protect confidential, sensitive, and proprietary financial information
Who You Are
- Experienced accounting professional with 10+ years of progressively responsible experience, including at least 4 years managing law firm billing operations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar concentration
- Skilled in revenue management, billing processes, and collections, with the ability to interpret complex procedures and guide colleagues
- Strong communicator capable of collaborating with attorneys, leadership, and staff at all levels
- Adept at providing strategic and operational guidance while fostering a service-oriented, team-focused environment
- Trusted with handling sensitive financial, confidential, and proprietary information

Pay
$190,000 – 220,000 annually, based on experience
