Senior Billing Coordinator - Legal - PST/MST

Responsibilities
- Manage complex, high-volume billing portfolios for domestic and international clients
- Oversee the full billing lifecycle, including prebill review, invoice preparation, edits, approvals, write-offs, transfers, and final invoice submission
- Handle complex electronic billing processes and troubleshoot invoice rejections across multiple e-billing platforms
- Maintain and communicate client billing requirements, ensuring compliance with outside counsel guidelines and client-specific billing protocols
- Research billing data and provide detailed account analysis and reporting to attorneys and business stakeholders
- Collaborate with international offices to gather accruals, forecasts, and monthly reporting information
- Prepare and submit electronic billing files in accordance with client specifications
- Monitor billing inquiries and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service-level expectations
- Partner with attorneys, finance teams, and business services groups to improve processes and enhance client service delivery
- Assist leadership with workflow coordination, escalated issues, and departmental initiatives as needed
Requirements
- Live in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Phoenix, San Diego, or Seattle and open to a hybrid work schedule
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of legal billing experience
- Demonstrated experience managing high-volume and complex billing portfolios
- Strong understanding of domestic, international, and electronic billing practices
- Experience using Aderant
- Experience with e-billing platforms such as BillBlast, eBilling Hub, or similar vendor systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Prior leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience is a plus
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Phoenix, San Diego, or Seattle and be open to a hybrid work schedule
