About the role
Helen Keller Services for the Blind is expanding its Children's Learning Center to two new locations on Long Island. This expansion aims to provide high-quality early education and support services to preschool children who are blind or have low vision, as well as those with multiple disabilities, autism, Down syndrome, or pervasive developmental delays.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct Children’s Learning Center administrative functions
- Serve as the central receiver of administrative data from one or multiple CLC 4410 sites
- Organize, review, and enter data into site-specific billing systems and portals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Cookordination with site-based staff to obtain required documentation and resolve discrepancies related to billing and reporting
- Ensure that all student and staff files are orderly and audit-ready
- Create and maintain files for incoming students and new staff
- Aid Human Resources (HR) and CLC Administration with onboarding to ensure staff files meet all regulatory requirements based on program location
- Show excellent attention to detail; follow up promptly and thoroughly; review all work for accuracy
- Manage multiple priorities using strong organizational and time management skills
- Utilize MS Office Suite and other relevant platforms, and learn new systems as needed
- Represent the Children’s Learning Center professionally in person and on the phone, including greeting students and families
- Assist with outreach calls to families to support student attendance and engagement
- Assist the Administrative Team with transportation coordination, including communication with vendors, families, and program staff
Requirements
- Working knowledge of NYS 4410 billing systems administration (Claims, Enter Claims, county billing, etc.)
- Clerical and billing administration
- Supervisory experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (business or related field) preferred
