About The Job
Integral is seeking an experienced and highly motivated project to consultant-level scientist to serve as the Technical Lead for our Seafloor Sediment Profile and Plan View Imaging (SPI–PV) service area. This role will provide scientific leadership, ensure technical excellence in seafloor imagery analysis, and support strategic growth of the SPI–PV service line. The ideal candidate is an established subject matter expert with strong analytical, project management, and client engagement skills.
Requirements
Direct the analysis and interpretation of SPI–PV images and seafloor video
Serve as lead author of SPI–PV technical reports, oversee delivery, and ensure the quality of SPI–PV deliverables
Support management of SPI–PV projects from scoping, mobilization and demobilization, field data acquisition, and analysis and reporting
Interact with clients as Integral’s SPI–PV subject matter expert
Support SPI–PV business development by contributing to/leading proposal efforts, giving internal and external presentations on SPI–PV technology, and participating in technical conferences
Lead the analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of seafloor imagery with supporting data sets (e.g., MBES, sediment chemistry, benthic taxonomy) to characterize seafloor habitats and benthic processes
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and defensibility of imagery interpretation
Contribute to method development and best practices for seafloor imaging, including AI assisted image analysis, seafloor modeling using structure-from-motion, and advanced communication and visualization technologies
Mentor junior staff in imagery analysis, interpretation, and technical writing
Collaborate with a diverse team of scientists who specialize in: GIS mapping and spatial analysis AI and machine learning for image analysis Offshore wind environmental assessment and permitting Contaminated sediment site assessment Hydrodynamic/sediment transport modeling Oceanography
Qualifications
Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in marine science, oceanography, geology, environmental science, or a related field
5+ years of professional experience analyzing and interpreting SPI–PV imagery
Demonstrated project management experience, including proposal development, budget management, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams
Strong technical writing skills with a proven ability to produce high-quality scientific and regulatory reports
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders
Demonstrated technical leader in the field
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality work products
A desire to grow both intellectually and professionally
Strong organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers

Benefits
Compensation is commensurate with experience and internal equity. An employee’s total compensation package includes annual salary; company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) participation with a company match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation; company-paid life and short- and long-term disability insurance, paid sick leave (10 days), paid vacation (15 or/to 20 days determined by title at hire), paid holidays (9 days) per year; and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance.

$90,000 - $120,000
