About the role
The Senior Benefits Analyst administers all AMETEK's Health and Welfare benefit programs by providing a variety of analytical, technical and functional tasks that support the benefits system workflow processes in a largely outsourced environment.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day operations of the group health and welfare benefit programs including medical, prescription, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plans, and Health Savings Accounts for our Active, COBRA and Retiree populations.
- Serve as the main point of contact with our health and welfare benefits administration platform and ensure benefits system functionality is maintained and operated at a consistently high level, meeting the needs of users/customers on an ongoing basis.
- Oversee all work with third party vendors to manage interfaces.
- Maintain data integrity through identifying and correcting system issues.
- Oversee the process for reconciling weekly funding and resolving data integrity issues with vendors and with internal Accounting.
- Manage the annual biometric screening process for all US based AMETEK locations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all Affordable Care Act tracking responsibilities, including working with the ACA vendor for ongoing hours tracking, 1095s, etc.
- Assist the senior manager with all compliance related deliverables throughout the year.
- Provide analysis, reporting and census data as needed.
- Manage the employee appeal process.
- Identify and recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, or alternate methodologies while sustaining current systems.
- Support all third-party vendors by providing appropriate information to support the workflow process and service AMETEK employees.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and field HR.
- Assist the senior manager in holding vendors accountable for service levels, quality and timeliness of deliverables.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned processes.
- Assist with annual open enrollment; provide support to internal and external customers and organize all systems, communications and process testing.
- Maintain documentation of processes and provide analytical review of current and new processes to ensure efficiency.
- Process necessary forms as required.
- Escalate all issues to proper parties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration preferred; or other related degree.
- 8+ Years of related experience.
- Requires a solid knowledge of HR, Benefits, ERISA, and Business Administration.
- The ability to critically think, resolve problems and escalate when necessary.
- Experience working with Benefits/HRIS system functionality, including design, testing, and operational support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
