About the Role
Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a Senior Bankruptcy Associate Attorney with 10-20+ years of experience to join its Dallas office. This role involves handling complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters, advising a diverse client base, and taking ownership of cases from start to finish. The ideal candidate is highly experienced, independent, and comfortable managing sophisticated legal matters with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Handle complex Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters.
- Represent debtors, creditors, lenders, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy proceedings.
- Draft and review motions, pleadings, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Appear in court for hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Provide strategic counsel on bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency issues.
- Manage cases independently from intake through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with federal bankruptcy laws.
- Collaborate with internal teams on related litigation and transactional matters.
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. bankruptcy laws, procedures, and court systems.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- 10+ years of bankruptcy law experience required.
- Extensive experience handling complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
- Background in a law firm environment preferred.
- Experience working with creditors, lenders, or corporate clients is a plus.
