Responsibilities

  • Develops new client relationships and identifies prospects, crafting tailored marketing strategies.
  • Manages complex wealth management banking, credit, and treasury management relationships while identifying cross-selling opportunities in investment and fiduciary services.
  • Structures and negotiates complex loan and lease agreements in alignment with senior management and Credit Policy Committee guidelines.
  • Analyzes and negotiates loan terms, including special pricing, interest rates, and Swaps.
  • Oversees and negotiates financing documentation preparation.
  • Advises clients on Goals Driven Wealth Management strategies.
  • Generates leads through established Centers of Influence (COI) relationships and expands professional networks.
  • Serves as a subject-matter expert, providing high-level consulting and leadership to teams and partners.
  • Balances operational execution with strategic direction for business functions.
  • Engages directly with committees and senior management to solve complex, cross-functional challenges.
  • Develops, implements, and administers strategic programs within functional areas.
  • Leads teams in resolving complex problems and drives best practices for products, processes, or services.

Requirements

  • Expertise in financial analysis, client servicing, and private/commercial lending or leasing.
  • Advanced knowledge of the banking industry, competition, and financing, typically acquired through formal education and experience.
  • Understanding of investments, trust, and financial consulting to identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and sales skills to cultivate client, prospect, and partner relationships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High adaptability to change and ability to interpret business challenges to recommend improvements.
  • Specialized depth and breadth of expertise in the discipline.

Pay

Salary range: $137,400 – $233,600 USD (base pay). Northern Trust provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
