About the Role
Our client, a leading Fortune 50 retailer with a large-scale omnichannel commerce platform, is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join its Tax Technology organization. This team develops and supports the technology solutions that calculate, manage, report, and ensure compliance with tax and fee obligations across a complex enterprise environment. In this role, you will help build and modernize systems that support high-volume transaction processing across stores, digital commerce, procurement, finance, and other enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong backend engineer with expertise in Kotlin, distributed systems, and modern cloud-native application development. As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will work within an Agile development team to design, build, deploy, and support scalable applications and services that power critical financial and tax-related business processes.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new application features and enhancements.
Pay
$56.00 - $86.00 per hour (W2)
