Senior Backend Engineer (Vehicle Mission) – Autonomous Mobility Systems

Join us as a (Senior) Backend Engineer (all genders) in our Vehicle Mission team to help realize the vision of an autonomously driving mobility service. In our Vehicle Integration domain, we develop the applications and tools that enable autonomous passenger management within MOIA vehicles—addressing key challenges like passenger authentication, communication, and seamless in-vehicle experiences in a driverless environment.

About the role

The Vehicle Mission team is responsible for the software that runs inside our vehicles, ensuring smooth and secure passenger interactions. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll design, implement, and optimize backend systems that power mission-critical vehicle operations, from authentication flows to real-time passenger coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services for autonomous vehicle passenger management.
• Solve complex challenges in authentication, communication, and in-vehicle user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend systems with vehicle hardware and frontend applications.
