Senior Backend Engineer, Integrations

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer, Integrations to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will focus on designing and scaling the backend systems that power integrations, authentication workflows, and customer-facing platform capabilities. You will build reliable APIs and reusable connectors, work closely with cross-functional partners, and help ensure the platform is secure, maintainable, and production-ready. The position also offers the opportunity to influence architecture, improve reliability, and mentor other engineers as the team grows. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $170,000 – $235,000 annually Responsibilities Design and implement backend APIs in GraphQL with multi-account query scoping Build and extend the integration router with reusable connectors and workflow configurations Ensure production reliability for API and integration services through monitoring and alerting Contribute to the platform and OAuth proxy layer for authentication and workflows Develop production code that maintains high standards for quality and design Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance integrated customer experiences Mentor junior engineers and help scale the team as it grows Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field 7+ years of professional software engineering experience using modern object-oriented or functional languages, such as Python, Go, or TypeScript Experience building production applications on cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, using Docker and Kubernetes Expert proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and graph databases such as Neo4j Hands-on experience building GraphQL backends, including federated architectures Benefits Inclusive culture that values diversity and promotes employee thriving Dynamic and growing team with numerous career development opportunities Collaborative environment encouraging creativity and innovative thinking Flexible remote and hybrid work models based on the role and location Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible vacation, and generous parental leave Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
