Our mission includes providing cash advances, building credit, optimizing taxes, and more. We process thousands of transactions daily, serving underserved customers. The role involves rebuilding and scaling our cash advance platform to handle hundreds of millions in originations.

Responsibilities

• Rebuilding core backend systems (ledger, transaction processing, payment integrations) to support 5-10x growth in advance originations
• Building high-reliability, high-scale collection systems for targeted transactions across thousands of small-cap advances daily
• Ingesting and processing massive volumes of customer banking data from partners to power underwriting and collection decisions
• Using SQL and data analytics to drive engineering decisions, monitor system performance, and validate business outcomes
• Designing and operating event-driven distributed systems with Pub/Sub and asynchronous workflows

Requirements

• 2 - 5 years of experience in backend software engineering, with focus on Go and distributed systems
• Has owned a real product/technical outcome end-to-end, can speak to the business impact
• Startup experience at Series A/B stage
• Background in data-heavy, high-velocity environments (fintech, adtech, analytics, etc.)
• (Nice-to-have): Bachelor's degree in CS or related technical field
• Full-stack with real backend depth, not primarily front-end
• SQL and data analytics — can query data to inform engineering and product decisions
• (Nice-to-have): Experience with distributed systems
• Must work on-site 5 days/week in Seattle, WA
