Senior Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of the development and maintenance of Rove’s synthetic routing API.
• Prioritization and implementation of advanced cybersecurity measures to protect customer data and transaction processes.
• Leadership of the backend development of the Rove travel portal and building a universal airline mile.
• Drive the overall technology strategy and ensure alignment with the company’s business goals.
• Management of a team of IT professionals and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Talks about travel hacking and airline loyalty for hours.
• Previously redeemed an award flight at 10+ cent per point value.
• Proven track record of successful technology leadership and team management.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Node.js, TypeScript, Python, and Supabase.
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices in the fintech industry.
• Experience with API development and management.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
