Senior Backend Engineer

About The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Quo, you will spend a majority of your time coding, architecting, and owning moderate to complex components. Beyond your technical work, you may also lead a small team or a project. You might also spend time providing technical guidance, code reviews, and delivering on small/medium size projects end-to-end.

• Potential Areas Of Focus Include:
• Leveraging AI and advanced technologies to help customers manage and derive insights from their data.
• Empowering users to independently set up, manage, and scale their accounts with a seamless and compliant process.
• Enhancing core messaging and calling features, improving customer data management, and optimizing the visibility of conversations and contacts.

Technical Stack And Tools

• Built on Node using Typescript.
• Orchestrated with Kubernetes on AWS.
• Around-the-clock event-driven microservices with RabbitMQ at the center.
• Diverse database usage: Postgres, Mongo, Elastic, and Redis.
• Observability Tools: Datadog.
• Additional Tools: Figma, Linear, Notion, and Slack.

About You

• Strong experience with Typescript, or experience with object-oriented languages such as Java or C# and Javascript/Node.
• Strong experience with observability tools, including metrics, structured logging and distributed tracing.
• You take ownership of your work and understand the importance of communication.

Compensation

• The annual base salary range for this position in Austin is $168,000 - $198,000 USD, plus equity and benefits.
