Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

Be the internal Backend architecture expert, driving standards. Improve the quality of internal software by reshaping legacy areas. Own reliability and performance by identifying bugs & issues and improving the company UX with attainable outcomes. Mentor junior engineers, leading by example and sharing best practice. Work with a variety of teams across the organization, mainly product & design to ensure requirements are clear and executed successfully. Be a great communicator and collaborator, working with team members on code reviews and shared problem solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 5-10+ years Java development & backend engineering experience
• Expertise in Java and experience with at least 1 additional backend and frontend language
• Experience improving legacy codebases and automated testing
• Microservices architecture knowledge and expertise
• CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes & AWS experience
