Senior Backend Engineer (AI Agent)

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents in Go/Python using an orchestration and sub-agent architecture
• Own the development of evaluation metrics and maintain critical quality datasets
• Refined prompts and model configurations as versioned artifacts
• Integrate agents with backend tools, ensuring safety in tool-call contracts
• Instrument agents with measurements to drive quality improvements
• Collaborate with product designers and frontend engineers for better user experiences
• Develop proof-of-concept agents, refining them to production quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development, especially with AI/LLM applications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven skills in at least one programming language (Go/Python/Ruby/PHP)
• Experience with LLMs in production environments (e.g., Gemini, Anthropic)
• Hands-on knowledge of LLM evaluation metrics and dataset creation
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering and agent orchestration patterns
• Deep experience designing and building APIs (gRPC, GraphQL, REST)
