Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer - Remote
Reporting to the Sr IT Engineering Manager within the Finance Engineering organization, this remote role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting mid-to-enterprise level systems solutions across the global enterprise, with a strong emphasis on Azure Cloud environments.
About the role
As a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you will work with corporate infrastructure and services supporting servers, services, and network staff. This position involves leading and participating in global projects, contributing to policies and standards, and improving the team's management of servers and services worldwide. Key initiatives include automation, virtualization, file services, and Linux servers. You will collaborate with project management, IT teams, and the Security team to shape long-term service strategies and ensure secure configurations.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management and maintenance of various versions of Linux infrastructure.
- Research and implement new technologies, including migrating toward a virtual cloud environment.
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure Cloud computing architecture.
- Deploy and fine-tune server and networking infrastructure.
- Perform operations related to disaster recovery, patching, backup, and business continuity.
- Set up and support configuration management tools.
- Monitor servers and services.
- Collaborate with other teams to understand technological needs and propose efficient solutions.
- Document processes for the IT Operations Team to manage deployed solutions.
- Develop best practices and improve existing infrastructure design and new implementations.
- Produce documentation on configuration standards, troubleshooting steps, and infrastructure design.
- Research and implement automation processes that add value to the infrastructure.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience as a Platform Engineer, with a demonstrated ability to manage and complete complex projects.
- Fundamental knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including virtualized environments, storage systems, and cloud architecture.
- Experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure, Azure NetApp File, and other Azure native services such as AKV and Cloud Functions, OCI, and Linux RHEL.
- Programming experience, preferably with bash scripting.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, Azure DevOps (ADO), and GitHub.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet.
- Experience in VMware administration.
- Ability to develop custom solutions for complex IT problems that cannot be resolved with commercial products.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and market trends, evaluating their applicability to the company.
- Familiarity with modern cloud-native architectures.
- Experience dealing with hybrid environments with multiple dependencies.
- Strong Linux and computer networking expertise.

Pay
In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $102,800 - $190,204 annually. The specific range and offer will be based on relevant experience, performance, and work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive compensation, which is not guaranteed.
