Senior Azure Developer - Commerce Ordering

About the role

The Commerce Ordering team at Publix is seeking a Senior Azure Developer to join our dynamic technology team. This position is available in a hybrid work model, combining remote work flexibility with onsite collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications and APIs using .NET, C#, and Azure services.
• Leverage AI-assisted development to enhance productivity and quality.
• Architect and optimize solutions leveraging Azure cloud platform capabilities.
• Build and automate Azure infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code and AI-driven tools.
• Implement and enforce Azure-aligned engineering best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end Azure-based solutions, aligning architecture and development with business and product goals.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging Azure services, cloud-native patterns, and AI capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or related analytical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• 3+ years of experience using .NET, C# using Visual Studio or similar IDE.
• 2+ years of experience designing, developing, and querying both relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (i.e., Azure Cosmos DB).
• 2+ years of experience developing .NET applications hosted in Azure cloud services.
• 2+ years of experience developing event-driven solutions using Azure Functions and Azure Event Hubs, Azure Storage Queues, or Azure Service Bus.
• Experience working with Azure cloud services and the broader Azure ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

Qualifications
