Senior AV Engineer
About the role
We have an opening for a Senior AV Engineer. The Senior AV Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and continuously improving enterprise audiovisual systems, conference-room technology, video collaboration environments, and meeting-space experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, engineering, deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of enterprise AV systems, video conferencing rooms, and meeting-space technology across global offices;
- Own AV room standards for conference rooms, boardrooms, training rooms, huddle spaces, divisible rooms, executive meeting spaces, and hybrid collaboration environments;
- Engineer, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, codecs, DSPs, control processors, touch panels, matrix switchers, room scheduling panels, and related AV infrastructure;
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 escalation support for complex AV and video collaboration incidents, including audio quality issues, camera/display failures, room-control problems, endpoint outages, call-join failures, and platform interoperability issues;
- Validate room performance through commissioning, testing, tuning, signal-flow review, firmware management, device health checks, and post-installation quality assurance;
- Maintain a high standard of AV service availability, room readiness, documentation, security, and user experience across all supported meeting spaces.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Audiovisual Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience;
- 7+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, supporting, or engineering AV systems, video conferencing rooms, collaboration spaces, or enterprise meeting technologies;
- CTS or CTS-D certification (required);
- Deep experience with AV room technologies, including cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, control processors, DSPs, codecs, touch panels, matrix switchers, cabling standards, and room scheduling systems;
- Strong understanding of audio signal flow, gain structure, acoustic considerations, camera framing, display standards, control programming concepts, and room commissioning practices;
- Working knowledge of QoS, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, multicast/unicast behavior, network connectivity, and enterprise network fundamentals as they relate to AV-over-IP and video collaboration services;
- Experience troubleshooting complex AV, video conferencing, room-control, and meeting-quality issues using logs, monitoring platforms, vendor portals, diagnostic utilities, and hands-on room testing;
- Familiarity with ITIL-based change, incident, and problem management practices;
- Strong documentation, communication, vendor-management, and stakeholder-engagement skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead AV technical initiatives, and support high-visibility executive, client-facing, or mission-critical meeting environments;
- Additional certifications such as CTS-I, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco collaboration, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, or other relevant AV/vendor certifications (preferred);
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, Poly, Crestron, Logitech, Yealink, Shure, Biamp, Q-SYS, Extron, or similar AV and collaboration ecosystems (preferred);
- Experience with AV device provisioning, remote room monitoring, alerting platforms, reporting dashboards, firmware management, and service-management integrations (preferred);
- Experience supporting AV standards, room templates, technology refresh programs, and multi-site conference-room deployments in hybrid, global, or highly regulated enterprise environments (preferred).

Benefits
The salary wage range for New York that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $116,000 and a maximum of $150,500 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors. Employees will be provided with an excellent career opportunity in a collaborative environment, in addition to a generous total compensation package with the opportunity to earn bonuses based on individual contribution and firm profitability.

The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
Schedule
This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
