Maintenance/troubleshooting of complex AV systems
- Maintains and troubleshoots complex AV systems including audio programming (QSC, Tesira (and similar), Dante audio, Crestron Control (and similar) programming updates, firmware updates, device and cable repair)
Design and Engineering
- Leads design of facilities and systems based on analysis of clients' needs, applicable codes and regulations and AV principles and best practices
- Independently creates and oversees the creation of highly complex, detailed drawings and proposals for facilities and systems using modeling software including AV flow diagrams, schematics and AV infrastructure drawings
- Initiates and conducts product research and provides recommendations including approaches, trends, sources, and uses that have a significant impact on Berkeley Haas
Vendor Coordination
- Coordination of vendors including programmers and installers
- Schedules and assigns projects to staff and provides direction and guidance to lower-level AV or Educational Technology professionals
- Reviews and estimates schedules and design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, and other related costs
- Prepares bid packages for outside contractors and leads on-site bid walks
Project Management
- Proposes and develops short, medium, and long-range project schedules for Berkeley Haas classroom AV/IT renovation and upgrade programs
- Makes recommendations on installation plans including the creation of documentation, drawings and schematics needed by client to hire a third-party installation firm
- Verifies that entire projects' systems designs are installed to plan specifications
- Communicates assessment to client with suggested remediation if needed

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations and ability to provide technical advice based on sound understanding of AV principles and practice
- Advanced knowledge of Crestron, Q-SYS, and Evertz systems
- Advanced knowledge of lecture capture and web conferencing systems
- Experience in educational setting
- Professional Avixa CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I certification
- Professional Crestron certification
- Professional Q-SYS certification
