What You'll Do
- Build and evolve hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test automation infrastructure to provide rapid, production-like feedback on firmware and system behavior
- Develop and maintain validation frameworks, test harnesses, and environments tailored for embedded and distributed systems
- Create and maintain build and automation pipelines for firmware, including packaging, testing, and deployment workflows
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and manage scalable development and validation environments
- Implement monitoring and logging to track validation system health, performance, and reliability
- Conduct early reviews of product requirements, specifications, and designs to shift validation left and identify issues before implementation
- Troubleshoot and resolve validation, build, and deployment issues to ensure high system availability and fast feedback cycles
What You'll Bring
- Required:
- Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Required: 5+ years of experience in software development, system validation, or automated testing for distributed or embedded systems
- Required: Strong programming skills in Python (PyTest or similar frameworks) with solid object-oriented design principles
- Required: Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks or system-level validation across distributed or embedded systems
- Required: Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and build pipelines for complex systems
- Required: Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across system layers (firmware, services, APIs, infrastructure)
- Required: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments, with strong communication skills
- Preferred:
- PREFERRED: Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, device simulation, or embedded/IoT systems
- PREFERRED: Experience with build tools and dependency management (e.g., CMake, Conan)
- PREFERRED: Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- PREFERRED: Experience with networking and wireless protocols (TCP/IP, WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE)
- PREFERRED: Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability in validation or CI systems
- PREFERRED: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and driving improvements in engineering workflows

Pay and Benefits
The target annual base pay range for this role is $115,100 to $157,500. This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees' job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors. Beyond base pay, we offer a Total Rewards package that may include participation in our annual bonus program, equity, and other forms of compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and lifestyle benefits.
