The client is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with strong experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing automation systems, specifically sterile filling line operations. This role involves working closely with manufacturing teams on the floor to monitor production lines, optimize automation processes, and implement improvements while ensuring all changes are properly documented following GMP/GDP requirements. Job title Senior Automation Engineer Company MeeBoss Location Jersey City, NJ Compensation Full-time, Contract What you will do Support and optimize automation systems for sterile pharmaceutical filling lines.Work directly on the manufacturing floor to observe equipment performance and identify process improvement opportunities.Review existing automation processes and recommend improvements to increase line efficiency and reliability.Troubleshoot and modify PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.Ensure all automation changes, reprogramming activities, and documentation comply with GDP/GMP standards.Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to support production improvements. What we are looking for Strong pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing automation experience.Hands-on experience with sterile filling lines or aseptic manufacturing processes.Experience with PLC systems: Allen Bradley / Rockwell Siemens TIA Portal.Experience with SCADA systems: iFix Ignition WinCC-OA.Strong understanding of GMP/GDP documentation practices.Experience supporting automation changes, troubleshooting, and process improvements.Bachelor’s degree.5-7 years of experience.
