Senior Automation Engineer
About the role
This role involves developing, implementing, and administering an outstanding controls Ethernet network. It requires a motivated, client-focused individual with extensive programming and controls engineering skills, as well as strong troubleshooting abilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and administer the plant controls Ethernet network
- Engineer and implement reliable automation solutions to meet business needs
- Design electrical panels, select devices, create flow charts, manage project schedules, estimate costs
- Provide maintenance support for automation issues
- Act as an authority on local project teams and a technical support resource
- Generate energy and production reports using Wonderware historian, ICIS energy management, and ICIS Plant Performance
- Maintain plant databases and automation-related programs and documentation
- Administer and maintain automation programming software like Rockwell Software, Wonderware, ICIS, Network Management, etc.
Requirements
- 6+ years of electrical, controls, and automation experience or a bachelor's degree in a technical field with 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Proven history of project management and automation solution implementation
- Expertise in crafting and implementing complex automation solutions
- Ability to mentor and train technicians effectively
- Advanced knowledge of PLC and HMI programming
