Responsibilities

  • Audit financial statements, quarterly financial information, and clients' annual reports.
  • Take part in pre-audit planning to assess the risk of material misstatement of financial accounts to design effective audit procedures.
  • Identify accounting and audit issues and perform research to solve issues.
  • Perform audits under Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) auditing standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
  • Proactively build relationships and communicate with clients and associates.
  • Teach, train, and develop incoming staff/interns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
  • Must meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Candidates actively pursuing CPA certification will be considered.
  • Requires at 1-3 years of accounting related experience.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively on multiple tasks.
  • Adaptable to various levels of client complexities of people, processes, and systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to client sites up to 50%.

Pay

  • The estimated base pay range for this role is $72,900 to $109,300 with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases.

Schedule

  • This role requires a hybrid work arrangement. Associates regularly work in a Wipfli office, from home and at client sites. Client sites can vary locally, regionally, or nationally depending on the industry alignment.

  • Knowledge of GAAS, GAAP, PCAOB, AICPA auditing standards, and SOX.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to different client environments.
