About the role

The Senior Audit Associate at Rea plays a crucial role in preparing financial statements with disclosures, applying basic areas of GAAP, and documenting and researching. This position focuses on Assurance and works closely with the team to ensure adherence to professional standards and auditing theories.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of financial statements with disclosures
  • Document and research intermediate areas of accounting
  • Develop and apply an intermediate knowledge of auditing theory
  • Identify deviations and notify more senior team members for approval
  • Contribute ideas and opinions to the engagement teams
  • Document and validate the operating effectiveness of the clients' internal control system
  • Complete all appropriate documentation of Rea work papers
  • Ensure assigned work is performed in accordance with Rea methodology and requirements
  • Research basic and intermediate accounting topics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a relevant field
  • Masters in Accountancy or a relevant field preferred
  • Two (2) or more years of relevant experience
  • Basic supervisory experience preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed
