Senior Audit Associate

Client: Well-Known Professional Services Firm Role: Senior Audit Associate Pay: $110,000/yearLocation: Midtown Manhattan2 days/week on site Job Description:Perform audits, reviews, and compilations for clients across a variety of industries, including testing of internal controls, substantive procedures, and analytical reviews.Evaluate and supervise procedures related to key financial statement accounts and transactions, including revenue, expenses, receivables, investments, acquisitions, debt, capital expenditures, and equity activity.Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards and reporting frameworks.Apply auditing standards and accounting guidance to engagements involving a diverse range of entity types and operating structures.Coordinate engagement activities, including planning, fieldwork, client communications, staff supervision, and project completion.Lead engagements from inception through delivery, monitor budgets and timelines, identify accounting and audit issues, and ensure compliance with quality standards.Mentor, train, and supervise staff members, including reviewing workpapers and providing constructive feedback.Build and maintain professional relationships with client personnel and key stakeholders through effective communication and responsiveness.Stay current on industry trends, accounting developments, regulatory changes, and emerging audit risks.Participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen technical accounting, auditing, and industry knowledge. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.CPA license, CPA eligibility, or completion of educational requirements for licensure.Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience with audit and assurance responsibilities.Experience serving clients across multiple industries and organizational structures.Working knowledge of financial statement preparation and auditing under generally accepted accounting principles and other reporting frameworks.Understanding of common business ownership and investment structures, including partnerships, limited liability companies, joint ventures, and investment entities.Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve accounting and audit issues related to revenue recognition, investments, acquisitions, debt, capitalization, and related-party transactions.Strong organizational, analytical, project management, and communication skills.Experience supervising staff and managing multiple engagements simultaneously preferred By submitting to this position, you are agreeing to be included in our talent pool for future hiring for similarly qualified positions.
