About the role

The Senior Attorney, School Based Help Desk provides legal representation and advocacy services to students in K-12 public schools. This role involves providing legal advice, counseling, and support to students and their families regarding educational rights and issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal representation and advocacy services to students in K-12 public schools.
• Counsel students and their families regarding educational rights and issues.
• Advocate for student rights and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
• Collaborate with school staff and community partners to address student needs.
• Document cases and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience working with children and families in a legal setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications
