Senior Attorney, Commercial Contracts

About the role

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Senior Attorney, Commercial Contracts. The Senior Attorney will play a pivotal role in spearheading the review and leadership of intricate commercial agreements that are vital to both our customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Leading the negotiation and execution of complex contracts, meticulously reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting terms and conditions to identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks.
• Ensuring all contractual terms are comprehensively addressed by the appropriate functions—credit, engineering, finance, operations, product management, risk management, supply chain, etc.—and approved in accordance with corporate policies.
• Collaborating with various departments, including Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Credit, Sales, Trade Compliance, and other Specialty Practice Groups within the Law Team.
• Guiding the organization in enterprise risk management, process optimization, and the adoption of new technologies to streamline legal services.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) required and a license to practice in one of 50 U.S. States.
• Minimum of 7 years’ work experience as an actively licensed attorney.
