Senior Associate, Working Capital
About the role
The Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) – CFO Services team at Alvarez & Marsal is expanding its reach across the U.S. This team works closely with private equity firms to help improve operating results at their portfolio companies.
Responsibilities
- Developing and presenting strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and data synthesis.
- Managing and executing projects within tight deadlines.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement financial solutions.
- Assisting in the implementation of new systems and processes.
- Providing financial oversight and support during mergers, acquisitions, and carve-outs.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting, with a preference for CPA certification.
- Experience with financial modeling and financial statement development.
- Experience with Tableau and think-cell software.
- Treasury and cash management experience.
- Systems implementation experience.
Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of relevant work experience in areas such as Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Strategy, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited 4-year institution.
- Expertise with data and analytics tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
- Flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time at short/immediate notice.
Benefits
A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Salary range is $120,000 - $160,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
