Primary Responsibilities
- Leading deals with junior associates and some oversight from (SVPs)
- Performing in-depth valuation analysis of private companies
- Preparing due diligence materials, screening, and investment committee memos with limited mistakes/changes
- Presenting deals to the Neuberger Private Debt team and IC
- Leading legal documentation process (with oversight from SVPs depending on experience)
- Managing deal and portfolio monitoring analysis with a junior associate and SVP
- Training / mentoring junior associates in all deal processes
- Supporting fund marketing and existing client requests
Experience & Skills
- Excellent academic credentials (both undergraduate school and GPA)
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, private or public credit investment funds, and/or private equity
- Minimum of 3 years of direct private credit / private equity experience; Minimum of 5 years if VP candidate
- Strong technical foundation in corporate finance and accounting
- Strong quantitative abilities, including experience in financial modeling and valuation
- Must have strong judgment, critical thinking, and written skills; ability to articulate and present ideas effectively both orally and in written form
- Show objectivity, integrity, accountability in investment recommendations
- Show initiative and creativity in approach to problem solving; demonstrated experience in conducting research and interacting with others to develop solutions
- Show ability to multi-task with a fine-tuned attention to detail
- Team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects
