Senior Associate, Private Debt Financial Reporting
About the Role
The Senior Finance Associate is a key contributor to the Private Debt process, responsible for financial reporting, accounting, compliance, and control processes related to several Private Debt Funds. Private Debt invests in debt securities of middle-market companies backed by private equity sponsors via various investment vehicles. The role involves close collaboration with Investor Relations, CLO, FP&A, Tax, and Private Debt Deal teams. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and completing projects with precision.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, fund-level returns, and investor deliverables for various Private Debt funds.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly MD&A on fund performance for senior management.
- Review fund administrator’s work on various Private Debt funds.
- Prepare and review capital calls and distributions.
- Track and update the portfolio of investments for the various Private Debt funds.
- Track interest payment receipts across the portfolio team.
- Perform daily cash management, monitoring, and reconciliation with the bank.
- Take a lead role with the firm’s outside auditor in preparation/review of year-end audited financials.
- Work with the Investor Relations team to prepare fundraising materials and provide information for investor requests, including fund performance data, fee information, and underlying portfolio financial information.
- Work with the Tax team in preparing quarterly tax estimates and year-end tax allocations.
- Provide timely communication to internal and external stakeholders on projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a CPA.
- 3-5+ years of experience, including public accounting, preferably focusing on alternative investment asset managers.
- Advanced GAAP financial reporting experience.
- SEC/BDC reporting and CLO experience is a plus.

Location
Boston, MA. 3 days per week in-office. In-office requirements may change based on business needs.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $99,000–$140,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience. Employees may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
