Senior Associate, Transaction Advisory Services

Backed by a strong network, Portage Point offers a diverse array of services including Transaction Advisory Services (TAS), Valuations (VAL), Transaction Execution Services (TES), Office of the CFO (OCFO), Performance Improvement (PI), Interim Management (IM), Investment Banking (IB), and Turnaround & Restructuring Services (TRS). The TAS team specializes in financial, tax, and operational diligence for M&A and corporate actions, providing strategic insights to private equity, direct lenders, and corporate clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive analysis of complex transactional challenges
- Execute buyside and sell side diligence including financial and business trend analysis, quality of earnings analysis, working capital analysis, and net debt consideration analysis
- Draft clear and compelling reports outlining key takeaways and participate in and lead management meetings
- Review transaction agreements, customer and vendor contracts
- Collaborate closely with performance improvement, restructuring, and investment banking colleagues
- Manage junior resources on engagements by reviewing their work and supporting their career development
- Share and manage best practices as well as lead internal trainings where required
- Support business development, talent acquisition, and firm development efforts
- Contribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate program
- Located in or willing to relocate to Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, or Philadelphia
- Invested in a team-based culture motivated to collaborate in office four days per week and willing to work at client sites as needed
- Three plus years of experience with at least two years of financial due diligence experience within a Big 4 accounting firm
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
- Familiarity with Tableau and Alteryx preferred
- Proficiency in financial modeling including ability to prepare three statement models, dynamic KPI packages, and complex ad hoc analysis
- Successfully worked in a small, collaborative team environment
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting skills
- Proven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teams
- High attention to detail, responsiveness, and ownership mindset
- Track record of success in high-pressure, client-facing environments
Pay
$175,000 - $250,000 a year
