Senior Associate - Transaction Advisory Group - Financial Due Diligence

Responsibilities
- Assist with core financial due diligence, identifying key risks and potential deal breakers, assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the business, and evaluating the potential transaction in the context of clients' investment strategies.
- Analyze detailed financial statement information, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and key operational data, and synthesize and convert the data into meaningful information for discussions with target management.
- Assess the quality of the target company’s reported earnings, net assets, and cash flows after an investigative analysis.
- Construct deal-oriented reports and presentations for clients highlighting key financial, commercial, and other findings, and provide observations and conclusions.
- Aid the team in further articulating how such findings should be incorporated into the client’s valuation and sale, purchase agreement, and provide other negotiating points.
- Participate in meetings and conference calls with target company management and client personnel, serving as a secondary point of contact for client personnel with respect to day-to-day execution matters.
- Achieve client relationships and other business development opportunities.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-4 years of audit and financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm, with at least 1 year in financial due diligence.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of obtaining one.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Flexibility to work as both a team member and an individual contributor.
Benefits
The base salary is $130,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part-time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The amount of vacation and personal days available varies based on tenure and role type.
