Key Responsibilities
- Drive the tax return preparation process and estimates to produce timely, compliant tax returns.
- Leverage staff and intern support through effective communication regarding workflow.
- Assist managers with initial detail review of individual, trust, partnership, and multistate tax returns, quarterly reports, and other family office projects.
- Proactively manage and organize the clients' relevant financial information, resulting in a complete and accurate family database.
- Input all the tax information to prepare complex tax returns.
- Use available information to prepare and review quarterly projections and tax estimates for the clients enabling effective tax and financial planning.
- Using all available resources, assist with the preparation of the family office deliverables for client quarterly meetings.
- Research, recommend and follow up on various tax and financial planning and other ad hoc requests.
- Other family office duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in accounting or other related field is required. CPA is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years’ public accounting tax experience with a Certified Public Accounting firm serving high net worth families or Family Office Services experience is preferred.
Pay
Pathstone’s expected starting base compensation range for the position as of the time of this posting is $70,000 - $90,000 per year. The actual base compensation selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) experience, education, specialty and training. The successful candidate(s) may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus award.
